Sonya a member of Pinedale Baptist Church, Montgomery. She is married to Bill, a pastor and hospice chaplain. They have one daughter, Mindy, who is an artist/photographer in New York City.

Sonya is a retired state missionary who is passionate about making disciples. She is a discipleship coach and conference leader and an adult Sunday School teacher. Sonya teaches GED preparation in Montgomery Association’s Mixteco ministry. She loves gardening and enjoys reading.

She is a graduate of Florida State University and Southwestern Seminary.
