Kevin Burdette

Kevin Burdette joined the staff of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, TX in the fall of 1991 as the Associate Minister of Worship where he began the Instrumental/Orchestral Ministry and grew the Student Music Ministry to include 250 voice choirs, ensembles, drama teams, dance teams and instrumental groups.In 2006, Kevin accepted his pastor’s challenge to begin a new in ministry focused on the Baby Boomer Generation and working with church members and community organizations to begin new ministries.

In the summer of 2007 theAdult Impact Ministries (AIM)was launched and has grown to be a vital part of the overall ministries at Green Acres Baptist Church and in the Tyler community.

Kevin grew up in Prattville, AL. He received his BA from the University of Mobile (AL) and master’s degree from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. He also studied two summers at Oxford University in England.

Kevin and his wife, Penny, met the first week he was on staff at Green Acres.They have two sons, Reed and Eric. Kevin and his family love to sing, read, watch sports (college football – Roll Tide), play musical instruments, and travel – especially to any Disney destination.
